Yosuke Kojima Gold Sake Set, Tokkuri & Guinomi A handcrafted sake set by Japanese ceramic artist Yosuke Kojima, consisting of a tokkuri sake flask and guinomi sake cup. The organic, softly irregular forms retain the warmth and character of handmade Japanese pottery, while the luminous gold and silver surfaces give each piece a striking presence. Rather than being perfectly uniform, subtle variations, textures and traces of the artist’s hand become part of the beauty. As light moves across the metallic surface, the vessels reveal different expressions from every angle. Made to be held, poured from and enjoyed, this is functional Japanese art for the ritual of sake. Its gold tones also make it especially beautiful for Japanese New Year celebrations and other special occasions. A sake vessel for the table, and a sculptural object when not in use a contemporary expression of Japanese craftsmanship and beauty. Artist: Yosuke Kojima Tokkuri Sake Flask & Guinomi Cup Set.
